Ziaarat Aale-Yassin

In the Name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful

Ziaarat Aale-Yassin

Ziaarat (visiting) is one of highly advised means of conversation with the Prophet (PBUH&HF) and Ahl al-Bait (PBUT).  Several types of ziaarat have received to us through the Shia scholars.  We have been asked to visit the holy shrine of the Prophet (PBUH&HF) and Ahl al-Bait (PBUH); however, if one cannot make travelling to the point, s/he can recite the ziaarat from distance.

Ziaarat Aale Yassin is one of those well-known ziaarats appointed to Imam Mahdi (may Allah advent his return).  Its narrator (Abu Ja’far al-Humayri al-Qumi) is one of most famous narrators and is known for his trustworthiness.  As he has lived during the final years of Imam Mahdi’s (PBUH) provisional (short) disappearance (before the long one commenced), he has been in frequent communication with Imam Mahdi (PBUH) through writing.  Imam (PBUH) has given the Ziaarat Aale Yassin as a reply to one of Abu Ja’far’s letters.

A New Category – Videos

Since LSS started off the website, two main categories of ‘News’ and ‘Pictures’ have been governing the posts uploaded on the website.  During its experience of over one year, a need to dissemination of particular duas in order to introduce their profound, spiritual content has been deeply felt.  However, the duas are all in Arabic and they have been advised to be recited in Arabic as well although dua can be read in any language that the worshipper believes can communicate to the Almighty Allah (SWT).  Therefore, LSS has decided to provide its respectful subscribers and those interested in the website with particular duas recited in warm, pleasant Arabic voice with English subscripts.  This will also help our non-Arab brothers and sisters to enjoy reciting the decent duas recommended by Ahl al-Bait (PBUT).  Some of the videos may the transliteration further to the English translation.  This will help the English speaking brothers and sisters to follow the recitation of the dua as it goes by.

LSS website will time to time upload selective videos and the subscribers will be automatically informed of what goes on the website.  If any visitor has any suggestion with regard to a particular dua to go on the LSS website, LSS would be very grateful if you could share your idea.  Also, if you have any comment about any of the videos, please kindly inform us by filling out the contact form on our website.

Please note that occasionally the translations would have some inconsistencies which is out of our control and refers back to the lack of unique reference in English-to-Arabic terminology.  We all hope this problem will be resolved in a very near future.

LSS will, by the will of Allah, introduce new categories in near future as well.

In the Name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful

Thursday Meeting   –   11 February 2010

Below is the timetable of the meeting:

18.30 – 18.45: Meeting up
18.45 – 19.10: Ziyaarat Jaami’ah Kabirah*
19.10 – 19.30: Discussion on Dua Nodbah (4)

The venue** of the meeting is:

Prayer Room (Ground Floor)
James Parsons Building
Liverpool John Moores University
Byrom Street
Liverpool        L3 3AF

* As we are approaching the demise anniversary of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF) and the martyrdom of Imam Hassan Mojtaba (PBUH), Ziaarat Jaami’ah Kabirah would be the best to show our faith, friendship and in just one word, wilaayah to Ahl al-Bait. So, this week, along with the Shia brothers and sisters in Manchester, we will recite this ziaarat which is one of the most recommended activities expected from Shia fellows.

** Due to the e-mail of the Security Office in regard with running Thursday meetings in our previous place, we have been informed that the prayer room of John Foster building is not involved in the Liverpool Student Union, and thus, the students of the other universities are not allowed to use the room. Also, any type of gathering should be held in other places which are officially under the Liverpool Student Union, as this room is only entitled for saying prayers. Therefore, we will run our meeting of this week in the prayer room of James Parson Building, which looks to be under LSU. There is no need to swioe any card to enter this building. When you enter the building from its main gate, turn right and follow the sign posts to find the prayer room at the end of the corridor. For those arriving by car, there are three council parking lots around the area which should be free of charge for parking after 6 pm; however, I would recommend to make sure so.

Please introduce the website to your friends studying or living in Liverpool. Thanks.

Hope to see you all again.
