The venue of the meeting is:

Prayer Room (Ground Floor)
James Parsons Building

Byrom Street
Liverpool        L3 3AF

This lecture aims to explain the ground on which one can understand the concept of imamate without referring to the holy Quran and tradition (Hadith) which are two strong tools to establish imamate – future lectures may address these two tools as well. If the ground of Imamate is established based on rationalism, it can be then easily understood by those who have not yet managed accepting the holy Quran or traditions.

Hope to see you all again.

After a long halt on Thursday meetings, LSS is restarting holding the weekly sessions with a new topic for lecture. Some of our friends have graduated their studies and have left and therefore, it is our duty to publicise the society to let the interested people know about it; because experience has shown that there have been many people who have been really anxious to attend such meetings while they did not know that they had LSS. So, please inform the others of the LSS and its meetings. Also, it is the start of new education season when new students come and they have no idea about the meetings whatsoever while they may need to be in contact for the spiritual aspect of the meetings or get help from their brothers and sisters.

After Dua Nodbah discussions, the new set of lectures will be about the relationship between Islam and science from Quran’s point of view. New study year has just commenced, and it is encouraging hearing how Quran has defined and talked about science, and what the Noble Quran’s advices are for those who are passing through this route.

Please do inform your friends about LSS and its meetings.

Hope to see you all again.

Update – Online Group Quran Recitation (Urgent)

In the Name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful

Update – Online Group Quran Recitation

Urgent

Though not yet definitely confirmed, it looks that the Eid ul-Fitr will be on Friday. If so, we will miss one Section on our Quran recitation programme. Therefore, LSS invites all the subscribers to attend the final session of the scheme on 29th of the holy month of Ramadan, concurrent with 09 Sep. 10.

In order to make the recitation on the final day of holy Ramadan up, two Sections will be recited today. Therefore, recitation, with the help of the Almighty Allah, will start at 6 pm in order to finish it well before Adhan Maghrib.

We do apologise for the programme was suspended from 26th to 28th of holy Ramadan. Switching the works from Liverpool Towhid Centre programmes to LSS took considerable time.

For information about joining to the scheme, please see Ramadan Kareem – Online Group Quran Recitation

LSS will be looking forward to seeing you on.

Group Quran Recitation – Eid Fitr Scheme

In the Name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful

Group Quran Recitation with Quran 120 Scheme

فـَاقرَوا ما تَيَسَّر مِنَ القـُرآن

Recite, then, as much of the Quran as you may do with ease.

Quran 120 is a group which manages Quranic e-mails to its subscribers, and runs schemes related to Quran. As a tradition, Quran 120 runs group Quran recitation every year after Great Eid Fitr. Last year, this scheme was successfully performed, and thus, the team are going to run it again with the help and will of the Almighty Allah, gifting the reward to our Imam, Baqiyyat Allah A’zdam (PBUH).

Every member of the scheme is responsible for reciting half of a Hizb (حزب), starting from the point which is assigned to that member. You will be provided a table in which the detail of your daily recitation has been tabulated, and you can tick when you have accomplished the mission day by day. After 120 days, you have completed a full Quran recitation. Nonetheless, as the scheme is looking for 120 members who recite their own daily share, then you will commit in whole Quran recitation every day.

The scheme is going to commence by 10 September 2010. If you would like to join to this scheme, please express your interest by e-mailing to Quran120@gmail.com. You will be contacted to receive the details of your contribution.

If you have found this scheme interesting, please let the others know about it.
