Birthday Anniversary of Imam Hussain, Hazrat Abbas Ibn Ali and Imam Sajjad (PBUT)

Congratulations for a unique birthday anniversary. History of human kind has not seen such consecutive birthdays. It gets special when it is for three extraordinary people, and gets further special when all relate to the greatest revolution in the world in Karbala which is referred by the Holy Quran as the “great scarification”.

We are to and going to celebrate this, as great as we can. Manchester Islamic Institute has set a party event to highlight these lovely days. The programme commences by 8 pm lasting until 10 pm on Thursday 15^th of July 2010. The programme will be more interesting when Hamed has just been back from Omra. The programme is going to be held in the place of MII with the following address:

Please note that as this programme coincides with our ordinary Thursday meetings, we will all enshaaAllah gather there at the MII to respect the celebration and enjoy such party next to other Shia friends.

Birthday Anniversary of the Commander of the Believers, Imam Ali (PBUH)

Days and days, we have been waiting since the last year on the birthday anniversary of Imam Ali (PBUH), where all prayed and requested to the Almighty Allah, who mysteriously opened His Ka’ba in the respect of the birth of the Commander of the Believers, to grant us another opportunity of celebrating such great man’s birthday anniversary. And here it is approaching us on 26^th of June.

Words cannot describe such pleasure; but the heart of Shia can feel that and fill it out of his love and passion on his attitudes. The pens are inkless when they are to scratch the papers on who such noble person is. So, wise would for now squeeze his words just to say: congratulations and celebrations on the glorious anniversary of Ali Ibn Abi-Talib’s birthday.

Liverpool Towhid Centre has planned for a celebration party to make this anniversary memorable for all for ever. The event is going to be held on Friday, 25 June 2010, from 20.30 until 22.30, and will cover different programmes of lecture, nasheed, quiz and finally, the guests will be served a dish of dinner. Manchester Islamic Institute will be too holding a nice party, as of the previous years, to celebrate this unique birthday. The event will be on Saturday, 26 June 2010, starting at 7 pm lasting until 10 pm. After Holy Quran recitation, nasheed and quiz will be run, followed by lectures in Farsi, Arabic and English. Birthday Anniversary – Sayyeda Zahra (PBUH)

First of all, big big congratulation on the birthday anniversary for Sayyeda Zahra (PBUH), great daughter of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF). Liverpool Shia Society spreads its very deep celebrations to the Shia, and invites all Shia to attend the ceremonies and parties held to celebrate this great anniversary.

Manchester Islamic Institute (MII) in conjunction with Mohebban Al Mahdi (PBUH) is going to celebrate the anniversary this year in a special way. There will be two parties in two languages on different day and with different contents. However, all will be held in one place at MII.

The first event is being held on Thursday, 03 June 2010, starting at 8 pm and lasting until 10.30 pm, to recite Dua Kumayl, have party, listen to lectures, do group prayers and have some food. This programme will be in Farsi.

The second one, on Saturday, 05 June 2010, will start at 6 pm and last until 10 pm. Being in English, there will be three lecturers, Mrs. Rebecca Masterton, Mrs. Judith Weir and Dr. Kareem Aqili, after which a full session of free questions and discussion in agenda. Party and poems will be followed by a fun competition on ‘party cake baking’. Several party cakes will attend the competition, and the best ones will be appreciated. Finally, the guests will be served on behalf of Ahl Al-Bait (PBUT).
