Eid-o-Zahra (PBUH)

LSS congratulates the anniversary of the imamate of our lovely imam, al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his advent).  On such a day, the unique duty of imamate was adopted by the son of Imam Hassan al-Askari (PBUT).  Also, this day is reputed as the one on which companions of Imam Sajjad (PBUH) saw a little smile on his face after having suffered massively due to Karbala battle.  And that means great for the genuine Muslims.

As an annual tradition, Mohebban al-Mahdi Group has planned an event to celebrate the 9^th of Rabi’ ul-Awwal.  The event will be on Sunday, 13 February 2011, starting from 7 pm at the latest.  This is a very fun and joyful programme which should not be missed out.  Bear in mind that the theme of the event is RED.

Arba’een of Imam Hussain (PBUH)

“Be in Karbala for visiting Imam Hussain (PBUH) and other martyrs, and if it is not possible, try to recite Ziyaarat of Imam Hussain (PBUH) and the other martyrs of Karbala wherever you are”, Imam Hassan Askari’s (PBUH) advice for the day of Arba’een of Imam Hussain (PBUH).

Liverpool Tawhid Centre will be running mourning for the Arba’een (40^th day) of Imam Hussain’s martyrdom on Tuesday, January 25^th, 2011, from 7 pm to 9 pm.

Ziaarat of Arba’een, lecture and dirge (noha) have been provided for the ceremony, after which Imam Hussain’s (PBUH) guests will be served by supper.

Below is the timetable of the meeting:

18.30 – 18.45: Meeting up
18.45 – 19.10: Dua Sanamay Quraysh, and special salavaats of Imam Hassan Askari (PBUH) and Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his advent)*
19.10 – 19.30: Loving Ahl al-Bait and hating their opposers, the pillars of faith

* We have just passed the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hassan Askari (PBUH) which means that the leadership of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his advent) has just started its anniversary for 1172^nd year. So, happy anniversary, and we will say our congratulations to him with reciting his own special salavaat. Also, in order to respect the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hassan Askari (PBUH), his special salavaat will be recited. Further to that, 9^th of Rabi’ al-Awwal is the anniversary of the earth-to-hell migration of the second usurper of the leadership of Imam Ali (PBUH) from . He and his companions falsely occupied the high position of Imam Ali (PBUH) that had already been appointed by the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF), and destroyed the stream that the Prophet had developed for directing human being for ever. Therefore, we will recite Dua Sanamy Quraysh – which is the dua that the Commander of the Believers (PBUH) used to recite in his qonut part of his prayers – to see the viewpoint of Ahl al-Bait to those usurpers.

** As there are some nice traditions about the topic of love and hate, which are worth mentioning, we will review them for this week, and will carry on discussion on Dua Nodbah by next week, God willing.
