Deeds (A’maal) of Night of the 15^th of Sha’ban

The 15^th of Sha’ban is remarked as one of the most significant days in the Islamic culture.  The most obvious basis of that is the glorious birthday of the final Reason (Hujjat) of the Almighty Allah (SWT), the one who will fill the Earth full of justice.  He is the most beloved of the Ahl al-Bait (PBUT) by them and all the Imams (PBUT) and the Holy Prophet (PBUH&HF) have promised his advent and his lovely and joyful government.  Shia are expecting his arrival at any time which is the choice of the Almighty Allah (SWT).

However, further to such great coincidence, the Holy Prophet (PBUH&HF) and the Imams (PBUT) have notified the excellence of the 15^th of Sha’ban even before the birth of Imam Mahdi (PBUH).  This day has been appreciated as highly as the Night of Qadr when the fate of the world is determined by the Almighty (SWT).

Due to the high importance of the night of the 15^th of Sha’ban, some deeds (a’maal) have been advised to be fulfilled in order to have been showered by the blessings of such divine night.  The details of a’maal can be found here.  The more the a’maal one can do, the more the reward he will receive.  However, even just doing the minimum of the deeds will glorify the heart of the believer and will create the ground of happiness of the Almighty Allah (SWT).

‘Useful Links’, a New Category on the Web Site of Liverpool Shia Society

As communication between the communities is of outscored importance, web sites of similar natures try to bridge their users to other platforms so as to extend their knowledge and awareness.  This fact gains higher importance when the people in the communities are not of the majority but need to be in constant contact with each other to develop further activities and performance.  Religious bases are not exempted from this rule and make good effort to connect their visitors to other useful sources and resources.

Liverpool Shia Society has found this route of vital significance and has planned to introduce useful links to its visitors for better performance and higher outcome.  By the birthday anniversary of our Imam (may Allah advent his return) on the 15^th of Sha’ban, a new category as ‘Useful Links’ will be established.

We hope that the counterpart web sites whose addresses have been introduced on LSS web site will links us to their visitors as well.  Therefore, we will, by the help of the Almighty Allah (SWT), create a real web of web site to know each other, exchange knowledge and activities, and provide support for each other.  This will hopefully construct the foundation for further development among Shia.

Glorious Birthday Anniversary of Imam Mahdi (PBUH)

Great great congratulations on the anniversary of Imam Mahdi (May Allah hasten his advent).  Liverool Towhid Centre has arranged a programme to celebrate the anniversary of a fabulous day on which Earth took a deep breathe and seeds of hope to a better world were seeded.  The programme will start with Holy Quran recitation and Ziaarat Aale Yassin.  Lectures and poems have been included in the programme before Maghrib Call-for-Prayers.  After prayers, the guests are invited to have supper and do networking.

The programme is to commence sharp at 8.00 pm on Sunday, July the 17^th, and we would like to see all before the start so that every single person can get the benefits of listening to the message of Quran and ziaarat.  Programme will officially end at 10 pm.  Please do inform your other friends who may not see the ad.

Birthday Anniversary – Great Lady Fatima (PBUH)

When Sayyeda Zahra (PBUH) was born, the Prophet was informed by Gabriel (PBUH), the angle of revelation.  Gabriel (PBUH) was the carrier of Allah’s (SWT) message to the Prophet and said, “The Almighty Allah (SWT) has sent His regard (salaam) to you and also, has sent another regard (salaam) to your newly born baby.”  The Prophet prostrated to thank and appreciate his creator.  He was extremely happy, as one of the Allah’s (SWT) promises had taken shape.  A verse had been already sent to the Prophet, promising that his posterity will be carried on but his enemy’s will not.  Also, revelation carrier (PBUH) told him that, “her (Fatima’s (PBUH) generation will be pure and auspicious. And the Almighty Allah (SWT) will put your generation continuation from her.  Great men of God (Imams) will be brought up by her and Allah (SWT) will make them His representatives on Earth after you when no revelation will be sent to people.”…

Congratulation on Sayyeda Fatima’s (PBUH) birthday anniversary.  Congratulation on the birthday anniversary of the greatest lady of the world and thereafter – as the Prophet (PBUH &HF) said.  Congratulation on the birthday anniversary of a daughter whose fragrance reminded the father (PBUH&HF) of paradise fragrance.  Congratulation on the birthday anniversary of a lady whose satisfaction was the Prophets satisfaction – as the Prophet (PBUH&HF) said.  Congratulation on the birthday anniversary of a part of the Prophet (PBUH& HF) – as he said.

Thanks to the hard work of the brothers and sisters at Liverpool Towhid Centre, Sayyeda Zahra’s (PBUH) birthday anniversary will be celebrated at this centre on Tuesday, 23 May 2011.  The programme will start at 8 pm and will finish at 10 pm with Sunset (Maghrib) and Night (Ishaa) Prayers which will be done in group prayers.  The event includes lecture, poems and fun programmes like questions and matches.  At the end of the event, the guests will be served for supper.

As Sayyeda Fatima’s (PBUH) birthday anniversary is celebrated as Ladies and Mothers’ Day in Iran, all the ladies attending the event will receive a special gift from Liverpool Towhid Centre.

Celebration of the Birthday Anniversary of Imam Reza (PBUH)

Ahl al-Bait Community will be celebrating birthday anniversary of Imam Reza (PBUH) on Sunday, 24 October 2010. The programme will contain lecture in Arabic and English, and lunch will be served to the guests of Ahl a-Bait. Lecture will be given by Dr Wathiq al-Ya’qubi, and the session is to start at 12 pm and last until 4 pm.

Imam Mahdi’s Great Birthday Anniversary

Congratulations on the birthday anniversary of Imam Mahdi (May the Almighty Allah advent his return) who is our live Imam. Such a birthday has been concurrent with a great day which has been appreciated since the time of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF), and thus, has added to the value of this day. Further to celebrating this event which is a must for a true Shia, some other activities have been recommended by Ahl al-Bait as well, which includes full ablution (qasal), vigil and visiting Imam Hussain (PBUH) or reciting Ziaarat Ashuraa. Further items have been well mentioned in Mafaatih ul-Jinaan. The night of 15^th of Sha’baan is a special night as well, as Imam Sadiq (PBUH) has narrated from his father, Imam Baqir (PBUH), that such night is the greatest after the Night of Qadr, and great Mersey of the Almighty Allah will be flowing.

Now, just imagine we are approaching to such a birthday; birthday of a person who is the reason of life, who is the connection between the Almighty Allah and anything else, who is God’s only survivor, who is our only saviour, who is the only infallible in the Universe, and many others… So, what is our duty for his birthday anniversary?

Our Shia lovely friends in Liverpool have worked hard to arrange for a memorable programme at Liverpool Towhid Centre. The event will be celebrated on the birthday anniversary of Imam Mahdi (PBUH), Tuesday, 27 July 2010. The programme starts at 8 pm with a ziaarat (probably Aali Yaasin) followed by lecture, mowludi, group prayers and supper, ending at 10.30 pm. The venue of the programme is as follows.

Birthday Anniversary of Imam Hussain, Hazrat Abbas Ibn Ali and Imam Sajjad (PBUT)

Congratulations for a unique birthday anniversary. History of human kind has not seen such consecutive birthdays. It gets special when it is for three extraordinary people, and gets further special when all relate to the greatest revolution in the world in Karbala which is referred by the Holy Quran as the “great scarification”.

We are to and going to celebrate this, as great as we can. Manchester Islamic Institute has set a party event to highlight these lovely days. The programme commences by 8 pm lasting until 10 pm on Thursday 15^th of July 2010. The programme will be more interesting when Hamed has just been back from Omra. Birthday Anniversary of the Commander of the Believers, Imam Ali (PBUH)

Days and days, we have been waiting since the last year on the birthday anniversary of Imam Ali (PBUH), where all prayed and requested to the Almighty Allah, who mysteriously opened His Ka’ba in the respect of the birth of the Commander of the Believers, to grant us another opportunity of celebrating such great man’s birthday anniversary. And here it is approaching us on 26^th of June.

Words cannot describe such pleasure; but the heart of Shia can feel that and fill it out of his love and passion on his attitudes. The pens are inkless when they are to scratch the papers on who such noble person is. So, wise would for now squeeze his words just to say: congratulations and celebrations on the glorious anniversary of Ali Ibn Abi-Talib’s birthday.

Liverpool Towhid Centre has planned for a celebration party to make this anniversary memorable for all for ever. The event is going to be held on Friday, 25 June 2010, from 20.30 until 22.30, and will cover different programmes of lecture, nasheed, quiz and finally, the guests will be served a dish of dinner.
