Imam Mahdi’s Great Birthday Anniversary

In the Name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful

Imam Mahdi’s Great Birthday Anniversary

Congratulations on the birthday anniversary of Imam Mahdi (May the Almighty Allah advent his return) who is our live Imam. Such a birthday has been concurrent with a great day which has been appreciated since the time of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF), and thus, has added to the value of this day. Further to celebrating this event which is a must for a true Shia, some other activities have been recommended by Ahl al-Bait as well, which includes full ablution (qasal), vigil and visiting Imam Hussain (PBUH) or reciting Ziaarat Ashuraa. Further items have been well mentioned in Mafaatih ul-Jinaan. The night of 15th of Sha’baan is a special night as well, as Imam Sadiq (PBUH) has narrated from his father, Imam Baqir (PBUH), that such night is the greatest after the Night of Qadr, and great Mersey of the Almighty Allah will be flowing.

Now, just imagine we are approaching to such a birthday; birthday of a person who is the reason of life, who is the connection between the Almighty Allah and anything else, who is God’s only survivor, who is our only saviour, who is the only infallible in the Universe, and many others… So, what is our duty for his birthday anniversary?

Our Shia lovely friends in Liverpool have worked hard to arrange for a memorable programme at Liverpool Towhid Centre. The event will be celebrated on the birthday anniversary of Imam Mahdi (PBUH), Tuesday, 27 July 2010. The programme starts at 8 pm with a ziaarat (probably Aali Yaasin) followed by lecture, mowludi, group prayers and supper, ending at 10.30 pm. The venue of the programme is as follows.

Cochrane St
Heyworth St
Liverpool   L5 4LJ

For further information about the address, you may try the post of 10 Feb 2010 or simply visit the Contact Us page of the web site of Liverpool Towhid Centre. Parking is available on site, and those using bus should take bus No. 17 from Queen Square Bus Station.

Another event will be held at Manchester Islamic Institute on Monday, 26 July 2010. The event will start at 7.30 pm and it looks that there is no end limit for it. The programme includes Holy Quran recitation, game, lecture, mowludi both with experts and kids, lecture and a clip show from the first MII-arranged Omrah journey which was performed recently. Just as a tradition of MII when holding big programmes, please send the number of the people attending the programme to mii_cs@yahoo.co.uk. MII has been located on the address below:

Birthday Anniversary for Imam Hussain, Hazrat Abbas Ibn Ali and Imam Sajjad (PBUT)

In the Name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful

Birthday Anniversary of Imam Hussain, Hazrat Abbas Ibn Ali and Imam Sajjad (PBUT)

Congratulations for a unique birthday anniversary. History of human kind has not seen such consecutive birthdays. It gets special when it is for three extraordinary people, and gets further special when all relate to the greatest revolution in the world in Karbala which is referred by the Holy Quran as the “great scarification”.

We are to and going to celebrate this, as great as we can. Manchester Islamic Institute has set a party event to highlight these lovely days. The programme commences by 8 pm lasting until 10 pm on Thursday 15th of July 2010. The programme will be more interesting when Hamed has just been back from Omra. The programme is going to be held in the place of MII with the following address:

5 Sidney St
Off Oxford Road
Manchester    M1 7HB

Please note that as this programme coincides with our ordinary Thursday meetings, we will all enshaaAllah gather there at the MII to respect the celebration and enjoy such party next to other Shia friends.

Hope to see you all again.

In the Name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful

Birthday Anniversary of the Commander of the Believers, Imam Ali (PBUH)

Days and days, we have been waiting since the last year on the birthday anniversary of Imam Ali (PBUH), where all prayed and requested to the Almighty Allah, who mysteriously opened His Ka’ba in the respect of the birth of the Commander of the Believers, to grant us another opportunity of celebrating such great man’s birthday anniversary. And here it is approaching us on 26th of June.

Words cannot describe such pleasure; but the heart of Shia can feel that and fill it out of his love and passion on his attitudes. The pens are inkless when they are to scratch the papers on who such noble person is. Birthday Anniversary of Imam Muhammad Taqi al-Jawad (PBUH)

In the Name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful

Birthday Anniversary of Imam Muhammad Taqi al-Jawad (PBUH)

Congratulations on the birthday anniversary of Imam Muhammad Taqi al-Jawad, the only son of Imam Ali al-Riza (PBUT) and the 9th imam for Twelver Shia.

Shining on his nickname, he is well known for his generosity as his distinguished attribute. He undertook the post of imamat at his very young age of nine, and thus, it looked surprising for ordinary people when he found him answering all their questions at the wisest. Therefore, some people were trying to test his knowledge based on their own ignorance. For example, once he was asked a question concerning Islamic jurisprudence. The Imam was asked, “What is atonement for a person who hunts a game while he is dressed in the pilgrimage garb (Ihram).” Imam Jawad (PBUH) responded, “your question is utterly vague and lacks definition. You should first clarify whether the killed game was outside the sanctified area or inside it; whether the hunter was aware of his sin or did so in ignorance; if he killed the game purposely or by mistake; if the hunter was a slave or a free man; if he was adult or minor; whether he committed the sin for the first time or he had done so before; if the hunted game was a bird or something else; if it was a small animal or a big one; if the sinner is sorry for the misdeed or he insists on it; if he killed it secretly at night or openly during daylight; if he was wearing the pilgrimage garb for Hajj or for the Umra? Unless you clarify and define these aspects, how can you have a definite answer?

Birthday Anniversary of Hazrat Ali Asghar (PBUH)

In the Name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful

Congratulation on birthday anniversary  of Hazrat Ali Asghar (PBUH)

Congratulations on the birthday anniversary of the youngest soldier of Imam Hussain (PBUT), who did what all he remarkably did with his childish hands, putting in shame those with big hands who left the Imam (PBUH) with his enemies. Either 8th or 10th of Rajab is called as his birthday.

As our great Islamic peers used to do and do, we have been recommended to request our needs pleading the Almighty via the little hands of Hazrat Ali Asghar (PBUH).

Birthday Anniversary – Imam Muhammad Baqir (PBUH)

In the Name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful

Birthday Anniversary – Imam Muhammad Baqir (PBUH)

Congratulations on the birthday anniversary of the fifth Successor of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF), Imam Muhammad Baqir (PBUH), the “Revealer of Knowledge” (Baqir ul-Ulum).

Being born in Medina on 1st of Rajab 57 AH and being martyred on 7th of Dhu ul-Hijjah 114 AH, he guided the people of his time for 20 years in the role of imam.

Imam Muhammad Baqir (PBUH) has said: “Our followers are of three kinds, one who follows us but depends on others, one who is like a glass involved in his own reflections, but the best are those who are like gold, the more they suffer the more they shine.”

Rajab Month

In the Name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful

Rajab al-Morajjab

Rajab month has approached us, and this means that, in one order, we are approaching holy Ramadan, i.e. the greatest feast of Allah. In another order, Rajab means that the Almighty Allah is re-opening the special gates of Mersey. Definitely, the biggest Mersey gate that the Almighty Allah has ever opened has been the birth of the commander of faithfuls, Ali ibn Abi Talib (PBUH).

Several recommendations have been given by Ahl al-Bait for the believers to perform in this month. Just refer to Mafaatih al-Jinan and find lots of the means of getting the bonuses of Allah in this month. You may fancy reciting the dua of “yaa man arjuh” (یا من ارجوه) [http://www.duas.org/rajab3.htm] after every prayer. Interestingly, you can find some dua pieces issued from the site of Imam Mahdi (May Allah Advent His Great Return) as dua recommendations from our current Imam. Also, there are some short phrases that you can whisper while walking, biking, driving or on board. Fasting and visiting Imam Hussain (PBUH) by reciting Ziaarat Ashuraa has been highly recommended. For a list of a’maal in Rajab, you may visit: http://www.duas.org/rajab4.htm

And another important point, do not forget to pray for your brothers and sisters whole around the world, particularly, the Shia ones.

Let’s hope we will get enough of this month to prepare ourselves for the next step, Sha’baan.
