Was That Just to Say, “Ali, I Love You”?

In the Name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful

Was That Just to Say, “Ali, I Love You”?

I have a story and would like to share it with you.

Last summer, it was extremely hot and I was hosting a great friend of mine and his family coming from Tehran to Mashad.  They stayed with us for a few days to do what they had come for to Mashad. Afterwards, they packed up to return to Tehran.  It was about midday, around 11 O’clock when they left.  After an hour, I called him on his mobile asking, where they were.  “We are about 50 km from Mashad on our way to Tehran.  We’ll in-shaa-Allah arrive in Tehran tomorrow.  Anything up?”, he replied.

-   Can you please drive back to Mashad as quickly as you can?  Something crucial has risen and I’ve got to talk to you about it.

*   What do you mean by crucial?

-   You just come back.  I’ll tell you what.

*   Come on! Please tell me over the phone. It’s really too hot to drive back to Mashad again.  I should be in Tehran by tomorrow for an important job to do.

-   No excuses! You should get back here right now.

*   Couldn’t you tell me later?

-    No way mate.  I should talk to you today.

Poor friend; I insisted and he found no way but to return to Mashad in such hot weather while his car had no air-conditioner.  While I found him so eager to hear the crucial matter, I told him, honestly from my deep heart, “I love you!” But I don’t understand why he got mad and why he looked at me so angrily.  He shouted, “Was that all???”  I just said, “Yes.”

*   You had already told me you loved me, hadn’t you?

-   Well, yes but this time it was more formal…

He was really angry with me when he understood I made him to get back this long distance just for telling I loved him.  His family was all angry and about to kill me.  But, believe me; I just tried telling him I loved him heartedly in front of others.

Whoever heard the story advised me what I did was absolutely wrong and foolish.  What about you?  What do you think?

.

.

.

That’s right!  No wise accepts that.  I made them getting back in such miserably hot day only and only to tell him I liked him.

So how is it possible to agree with Sunnis claiming that the Holy Prophet stopped 120,000 people for 3 days in a hot desert under sharp sunshine just and just to say, “Ali, I love you”, “O people, Ali is my friend”?  I cannot believe he would do so.

Remainings of the Ghadir Khum Place

In the Name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful

Remainings of the Ghadir Khum Place

The image below is where Ghadir Khum event took place 1421 lunar years ago. It has been reported that there was a pond, around which the ground had a particular bowl-like shape. Therefore, the people standing around could clearly without obstruction see and hear every thing. This could help all the presents see and hear what the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF) conveyed from the Almighty Allah for people and what he asked them to do further to witnessing, appreciating Imam Ali’s (PBUH) guardianship and pledging with him.

Certainly, I just conveyed what I have been ordered to convey as an argument against everyone, be him present or absent, a direct witness or not, and already born or not yet born. Hence, everyone who is present should convey (this sermon) to those who are absent, every parent should convey it to his/her children, (and they should continue to do so) until the Day of Judgement.

Happy Eid Ghadir

In the Name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful

Happy Eid Ghadir

Seventy days before his demise, when Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HF) was returning to Medina after his last pilgrimage to Mecca, he reached the pond of Khum (Ghadir Khum) near Juhfa. It was the 18th of the month of Dhul-Hijja of the year 10 AH (March 15, 632 AD). By this time, the Prophet (PBUH&HF) had conveyed all of the divine commandments to his nation except for the formal and explicit public announcement of his divinely appointed successors as the leaders, guardians, and guides for the believers for all days to come.

By the order of Allah, the Prophet (PBUH&HF) stopped at the pond of Khum, gathered the crowd of pilgrims, and delivered his last universal speech. In this sermon, he presented his last religious instruction which finalized the last divine religion and made Islam the perfect religion in the sight of Allah. Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (PBUH), the fifth Imam and successor of the Prophet (PBUH&HF) said:

The last obligatory duty that Allah sent down was al-Walaya (adherence to the guardian assigned by Allah). Then, He sent down the verse: ‘Today, I completed your religion…’ once the Messenger of Allah established it in Juhfa area.”

This message was the most unique in the entire mission of the Prophet  (PBUH&HF) due to the revelation of Verse 67, Chapter 5 of the Holy Quran before his speech. In this revelation, Allah warned His Messenger that failing to deliver this last message would nullify his entire mission. This unprecedented warning proves that this last message contained the most important religious commandment of Allah for the Muslim nation.

The main issue that the Prophet (PBUH&HF) addressed in his speech in Ghadir Khum was that Allah appointed Ali Ibn Abi Talib (PBUH) as the guardian (Wali), the master (Mawla), the leader (Imam), and the commander (Amir) of all believing men and women, the deputy and the executor of his affairs (Wasi), and his successor (Khalifa). His sayings and commands should be preferred over the opinions of all others in every matter. Obeying him is obeying Allah, and disobeying him is disobeying Allah. Whoever follows him (and his sayings) is a believer under the guardianship of Allah, and whoever turns away from him (or his sayings) is a disbeliever under the guardianship of Satan.

In the Name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful

Birthday Anniversary of the Commander of the Believers, Imam Ali (PBUH)

Days and days, we have been waiting since the last year on the birthday anniversary of Imam Ali (PBUH), where all prayed and requested to the Almighty Allah, who mysteriously opened His Ka’ba in the respect of the birth of the Commander of the Believers, to grant us another opportunity of celebrating such great man’s birthday anniversary. And here it is approaching us on 26th of June.

Words cannot describe such pleasure; but the heart of Shia can feel that and fill it out of his love and passion on his attitudes. The pens are inkless when they are to scratch the papers on who such noble person is. So, wise would for now squeeze his words just to say: congratulations and celebrations on the glorious anniversary of Ali Ibn Abi-Talib’s birthday.
